Ārvalstu vadītāji sveic Latvijas tautu valsts proklamēšanas simtajā gadadienā
When greeting the people of Latvia on the Centenary of the Proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, friends and allies of Latvia, many foreign leaders, sent both written and video congratulations to President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis.

US President Mr Donald Trump stressed in his congratulation, “We appreciate Latvia's commitment to regional, transatlantic, and global security. This commitment is exemplified by Latvia’s leadership on NATO defence spending, particularly your government’s dedication of 2 percent of GDP towards defence spending starting this year.”

“Please accept our congratulations on the centennial anniversary of your independence! The United States will always stand with Latvia as an enduring ally and a close friend.” emphasised the US President in his greetings that President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis as the very first greetings from the Head of State on the Centenary of Latvia.

In her turn, when congratulating the people of Latvia on the Centenary of Latvia, President of Estonia Mrs Kersti Kaljulaid stated that “We raise flags all over Estonia in order to jointly celebrate the freedom and independence of Latvia.”

Federal President of Germany Frank Walter Steinmeier notes that “Latvians and Germans share a centuries-long history rich in change. Since the restoration of Latvia’s independence, our countries are closely in tune with both bilateral relations and partnership in the EU and NATO.”

 “I am happy about the participation of France in a centennial celebration in both Latvia and France. The opening of the exhibition dedicated to the symbolism of the Baltic States in the on Musée d'Orsay on April 9 this year, where Your Excellency also participated was among the most prominent events of this celebration,” mentioned President of France Mr Emmanuel Macron in his greetings conveyed to President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis.
