The NDP also took note of the application of the National Armed Forces (NAF) Commander, Lieutenant General Raimonds Graube addressed to President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis, where the NAF Commander appealed to retire him from the office before the end of the term.

At the eve of the 98th anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Latvia, the Chapter of Orders awarded 62 highest state awards: 18 Orders of the Three Stars, 10 Orders of Viesturs, and 34 Cross of Recognition 34. The awarding ceremony will be held traditionally on 18 November 2016 in the Riga Castle.
