Valsts prezidents dosies pirmajā oficiālajā vizītē uz Poliju

President of Latvia, Egils Levits, will pay his first official visit to Poland on 10-11 September to meet with senior government officials and discuss the bilateral relations between Latvia and Poland, agenda of the European Union and various aspects of regional security.

President Levits is travelling to Poland to meet with Andrzej Duda, President of Poland, Elžbietą Vitek, President of the Sejm of Poland, Stanislaw Karczewski, Marshall of the Senate of Poland, and Mateusz Morawiecki, Prime Minister of Poland.

President Levits and the Latvian diaspora in Poland will install a commemorative plaque  during the visit. Plaque will be installed at the site where Latvian diplomatic mission stood from 1923 to 1939. The building was destroyed in the Worl War II. President of Latvia will also attend a media briefing and lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the centre of Warsaw.
