During the centenary celebrations of Latvia and Estonia, top officials exchange visits, whereas a joint session of the governments of Latvia and Estonia will be held in Latvia on August 21. Latvia is interested in continuing close economic cooperation with Estonia, including attracting investments from Estonia, as well as developing operations of Latvian companies in Estonia.

The President of Latvia also acknowledged that taking into account both geopolitical considerations and specific, jointly set goals, it was expected that the current areas of fundamental cooperation in security, defence, transport, and energy would still be topical and defining the agenda of the Baltic States in the coming years. At the same time, it is essential to continue established cooperation in various regional formats - the Council of the Baltic Sea States, the Baltic Council of Ministers, and the Baltic Assembly, including the promotion of joint projects and the organisation of events. In order to promote the long-term development of the region, it is essential to strengthen successful cooperation among the Baltic States and the Nordic countries (NB8).
