Valsts prezidents piedalās starptautiskās jaunsargu nometnes “Baltic Guards 2018” atklāšanā
President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis participated in the solemn opening of the Seventh International Youth Guard Camp Baltic Guards 2018 in Malpils on Monday, 13 August 2018, which will take place until August 17.

When addressing the participants of the camp, the President of Latvia emphasised, “Today we live in the epoch of endless changes, where peace and security are not obvious things. It is therefore essential that young people from different countries are willing to invest their time and work together to develop their knowledge and skills that will allow our countries to maintain peace and security in the future.”

The President of Latvia noted that this international camp was an excellent place for young people not only to get new friends but also to develop their leadership skills and mutually compete with their knowledge and skills.

The International Young Guard Camp Baltic Guards 2018 is organised by the Young Guard and Information Center. It includes 130 adolescents and young people aged between 14 and 19, who are young guards and cadets (young people from similar organisations) from the Baltic States, Britain, Poland, and Ukraine.
