On 16 September, at the invitation of the President Edgars Rinkēvičs, the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb, accompanied by First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb, paid a state visit to the Republic of Latvia. During the meeting between the delegations of both countries, the presidents of Latvia and Finland discussed bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of defence, security issues in the Baltic Sea region, as well as Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
