Artificial Intelligence Forum to be held at the Riga Castle

On 21 November, President Edgars Rinkēvičs will open the Artificial Intelligence Forum organized by National Competitiveness Commission at the Riga Castle. Latvian and international experts will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on national competitiveness and security, public administration, and education.

During the thematic panel discussions, experts will share their insights on how artificial intelligence solutions can contribute to strengthening the competitiveness and security of small states while also analysing the associated risks. Forum participants will exchange practical ideas on promoting the use of AI solutions and improving public administration regulation, as well as on ways to enhance the quality of education and improve learning through AI-based tools.

The discussions will also highlight examples of international best practices and provide recommendations for targeted measures to implement artificial intelligence solutions.

Starting at 9:30 a.m. on 21 November, the Artificial Intelligence Forum will be streamed live on the website of the Chancery of the President of Latvia and on its Youtube channel.

The National Competitiveness Commission brings together experts from the fields of education, science, and business. Acting as a strategic think tank for the Institution of the President of Latvia, it develops data- and analysis-based conclusions and action models to promote Latvia’s growth in innovation and competitiveness indicators.
