On 9 September, at the Riga Castle, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Speaker of the Saeima, representatives of parliamentary factions, the Chair of the Central Election Commission, as well as constitutional law and policy experts, to discuss the legal framework of elections and issues of electoral policy. The meeting continued the discussion launched on 17 February this year on strengthening public trust in state authority.
