Mum, mother. Grandmother, granny. These are words that resonate in every person’s heart, young and old alike. Both when growing up and in the years to follow. In moments of joy and sadness. Because there is only one mother. Each person’s own. The one and only. And even when our mother is no longer by our side, the care once given by her remains within us. A mother’s warmth. A mother’s strong shoulder. Even her worries. All of this stays with us.

Thank you for taking on this important role, one that can never truly be repaid. Thank you for standing firm like a rock through every storm. And thank you also for those moments when, more important than standing firm, is stopping, taking time to reflect, and allowing yourselves to rest.
To your children, you are and will always be the very best. Even in moments when you feel vulnerable, exhausted or uncertain. Because for many, you are the most important person in their lives!
