On 24 September in Los Angeles, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Palmer Luckey, co-founder of the company Anduril Industries, a defence technology company that develops autonomous systems to transform US and allied military and national security capabilities with advanced technology. The parties discussed global trends in the development of military technology, as well as the latest innovations in the industry. President of Latvia highlighted the advantages of the infrastructure available in Latvia for the rapid testing of military technologies.

As reported, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs is paying a working visit to the United States of America on 17-28 September to attend the opening of the 81st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York and the 75th Anniversary Congress of the American Latvian Association in Washington, to meet with Latvian and US companies in Los Angeles and San Diego, to attend the 75th Anniversary of Latvian School in Los Angeles celebration and to meet with Latvian diaspora.
