On 24 September President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs together with Latvian film producers and creators visited Los Angeles to meet with Jay Roewe, Warner Brothers HBO Senior VP Global Incentives & Production Planning.
“There is a potential for deeper cooperation between Latvia and the US film industry. Latvian producers are already developing successful projects with European branches of US film industry, for example, HBO and Disney, accessing national co-funding through special programme.
Our aim is to build closer ties with large US studios and prove that Latvia is a reliable partner in larger film productions. Latvia already has a diverse range of film locations, local film professionals and cost competitiveness to offer to foreign filmmakers,” President Rinkēvičs underlined during the meeting.
