On 16 May, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met at Riga Castle with representatives of all Saeima factions – “Progressives,” “Latvia First,” “National Alliance,” “United List,” “New Unity,” and “Union of Greens and Farmers” – and, in accordance with Article 56 of the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia, invited Andris Kulbergs, the prime ministerial candidate of the political alliance “United List – Latvian Green Party, Latvian Association of Regions, Liepāja Party”, to form the Cabinet of Ministers.
