On 31 July, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, at Riga Castle. The two officials discussed current foreign policy issues, including matters on the agenda of the United Nations.
During the meeting, they also discussed the upcoming High-level Week of the UN General Assembly, which will take place in New York, United States, from 22 to 28 September, Latvia’s work on the United Nations Security Council, Latvia’s forthcoming presidency of the United Nations Security Council in November, and the country’s priorities during its presidency.
