Dear teachers!

Thank you for everything you do not only for the future of Latvia, but also for the present of our children and young people. And thank you to those teachers who, in the past, even under very difficult circumstances, taught us – now adults – to think and to seek answers. Pupils enter school as young children and leave as young adults. These complex changes sometimes raise questions to which pupils and their parents seek answers. That is why a wise, supportive and understanding teacher is invaluable.

Teachers!

May you find strength to be there for children and young people, including in those moments when they are struggling! And if your strength ever runs low, seek help!

Pupils!

Unfinished homework and mischief have always been, and always will be, part of school life. However, I would encourage you to focus more on what can be achieved together with your teachers rather than on what does not work out. The greater your willingness to learn and grow, the stronger and more genuine your teachers’ support will be!

Wishing everyone a Teachers’ Day filled with warmth and kindness!
