On 11 September, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited SIA “Central Laboratory” in Riga to meet with the company’s representatives and to learn about its operations, including the new clinical laboratory opened earlier this year.
During the visit, the President was introduced to the work of the automated laboratory, the histology and cytology, as well as the microbiology laboratories.
E. Rinkēvičs commended the Central Laboratory’s contribution to the development of diagnostics through the introduction of innovations and investment in modern infrastructure, thereby increasing testing capacity and improving the accessibility of services.
“The targeted development of the Central Laboratory and the introduction of the latest generation automated technologies is very significant work in strengthening support for the healthcare system and for patients throughout Latvia. I congratulate both the management and employees of the company on the opening of the new clinical laboratory,” said the President after his visit.
