On 21 September, during the 81st Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, together with President of Estonia Alar Karis and President of Lithuania un Gitanas Nausėda, met with the President of Poland Karol Nawrocki.
Meeting between heads of state focused on closer cooperation between Poland and Baltics on countering hybrid threats, and support to Ukraine.
President Rinkēvičs praised the close Polish-Baltic coordination at the presidential level and stressed the need for joint action against hybrid threats, such as acts of sabotage and drone-related incidents.
According to President, what Ukraine needs is more than military support. It also needs air defence missiles, support for reconstruction and enhanced resilience of energy infrastructure, and macro-financial support from the European Union.
