President of Latvia and Minister of Defence discuss current security situation

On 21 August, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Minister of Defence Raivis Melnis at Riga Castle. During the meeting, they discussed the current security situation in the region, inter-agency cooperation in protecting Latvia’s eastern border, the development of air defence capabilities, the presence of NATO Allies in the Baltic region, support for Ukraine, and the integration of Ukraine’s experience and lessons learned into the National Armed Forces.
