Tomorrow, on 31 August, President of Latvia Egils Levits will receive Speaker of the Saeima, Ināra Mūrniece, and chairs of parliamentary groups at the Riga Castle to discuss next steps towards containment of Covid-19 and vaccination policy.
According to President Levits, it seems that parliament lacks shared vision of next steps and open discussion between President of Latvia and parliamentary groups is a way to define the future course of action. Egils Levits has identified core elements of a focused future Covid-19 containment and vaccination policy, which need to be first discussed with legislators.
