On 7 May, President Edgars Rinkēvičs contacted the leaders of the Rēzekne Municipality and city council regarding drone incidents.
“I have spoken by telephone with the Chairman of the Rēzekne City Council Jānis Tutins and the Chairman of the Rēzekne Municipal Council Guntars Skudra regarding the incidents. I thank the municipalities and the responsible authorities for their actions in this situation. Unfortunately, these are direct consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. I urge all residents to follow the instructions issued by the authorities,” said President Rinkēvičs.
