On 22 July, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Minister for Welfare Reinis Uzulnieks at the Riga Castle. During the meeting, the parties discussed proposals and priority measures for the development of demographic policy, current issues in social entrepreneurship, and the reform of the special retirement pension system.
The President called for measures outlined in the demography plan to be treated as a high priority during the national budget preparation negotiations, ensuring practical and comprehensive support for families.
