On 6 November, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs met with participants of Young Managers School workshop, an event organised by university’s Student Board, at the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies in Jelgava. President and students discussed youth leadership, civic and political participation, and student readiness to take the lead, implement their ideas and overcome challenges.
“Latvia has lots of young people with ambitious ideas and willingness to make them true. I am happy to see that we have, and will have, people who are able to see the opportunities for development, who realise the challenges involved and efforts required to overcome them. Passion and skills are always valued assets both in personal and professional life. It does not matter what career path you choose. I wish Student Board to keep inspiring others for personal growth for many years to come,” President of Latvia underlined after the event.

Young Managers School is an annual awareness-raising event organised by the Student Board of the Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies. During the workshop, students learn how to hone their leadership, teamwork and collaboration skills by listening to lectures, taking part in discussions and practical activities.
