On 10 September, President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine. Meeting, which took place in the Riga Castle, focused on security in Ukraine and wider region, Latvia’s support to Ukraine and defence cooperation between both countries.
“Latvia is firmly committed to continued political and practical support of Ukraine,” Edgars Rinkēvičs underlined. President of Latvia also clearly reaffirmed Latvia’s support for Ukraine’s path for accession to the European Union.
Meeting between President of Latvia and Chief of Staff of the President of Ukraine also focused on current progress towards lasting peace in Ukraine.
