On 16 March, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence to learn first-hand about the areas of work of its newly established Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
During the visit, the President, the Director of the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence, Jānis Sārts, and leading experts discussed ways to strengthen expertise and promote public understanding of the risks and opportunities associated with artificial intelligence. The discussion also focused on innovative approaches to strengthening security in the information environment and on the cooperation of the Centre’s Artificial Intelligence Laboratory with other NATO Allies.
