President of Latvia meets with Chairman of Jēkabpils Municipality Council Raivis Ragainis

On 13 January, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with Raivis Ragainis, Chairman of Jēkabpils Municipality Council, at the Riga Castle. The meeting focused on the preparedness of municipal institutions and emergency services for potential flooding of the Daugava River, the preparation process for the municipality’s 2026 budget, as well as the development of the Sēlija military training area, part of which is located within the territory of Jēkabpils Municipality.
