Valsts prezidents tiekas ar Latvijas – Japānas apmaiņas programmas jauniešiem no Japānas
On Monday, 10 September 2018, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis met with the participants of the Latvian-Japanese Youth Exchange Program from Japan in the Riga Castle.

The President of Latvia noted that participating in such a program was an excellent opportunity for young people to learn more about the culture and traditions of the cooperation country, to meet new people, and to build new friendships. “Young people will shape the future of our countries based on their actions, knowledge, and accomplishments. The experience and international contacts established during this exchange program will definitely facilitate your future professional career and the leadership skills mastered will enable you to achieve your goals at a global level as well,” emphasised the President of Latvia when addressing the young people from Japan.

The Latvian-Japanese Youth Exchange Program aims at creating better understanding and friendly relations among young people from Latvia and Japan by strengthening international cooperation and enabling them to familiarise themselves with and comprehend the culture and society of both countries better. The previous meeting of the Japanese youth with the President of Latvia was held in 2015.
