President of Latvia opens ‘We want to be free, we will be free!’ exhibition in Skopje

Today, President of Latvia Egils Levits, who is in Skopje with an official visit, opened ‘We want to be free, we will be free!’ Latvia 100 exhibition at the St Cyril and Methodius University Faculty of Law. Exhibition focuses on formation of Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish and Finnish states following the World War I.

‘All of us belong to the family of European nations. We need to get to know each other more closely. I am delighted to open this exhibition. I hope similar exhibitions about history of Western Balkans will one day travel to Latvia,’ Egils Levits said.

This travelling exhibition is a joint effort between National Archives of Latvia and archives in other partner countries.
