President of Latvia Egils Levits will go to the State of Israel with a state visit on 28-29 November.
During his state visit to Israel, President of Latvia Egils Levits will meet with Isaac Herzog, President of the State of Israel, Yair Lapid, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and designate Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. President will take part in the opening of Latvia-Israel Business Forum and reveal of the mosaic of Aglona Blessed Virgin Mary at the Nazareth Basilica of the Annunciation.
President Levits will also lay a wreath at the Mount Herzl, Israel’s national cemetery, during a special ceremony, and Yad Vashem, Holocaust remembrance and research centre/museum, where president will also plant a memory tree that will symbolise the memory of Žanis Lipke who saved many Jews in Latvia.
President of Latvia will also meet with representatives of Latvian Culture Society and plant a tree at the Israel’s National Park Nation Forest.
Egils Levits will be accompanied on the state visit to the State of Israel by Mrs Andra Levite, Minister for Economy of the Republic of Latvia and business delegation.
First Lady of Latvia will visit one of the world’s top health centres and biggest clinic in Israel Sheba Medical Centre, as well as Schneider Children’s Hospital. President of Latvia will also observe the signing of cooperation memoranda between Latvian partners and Israeli healthcare providers during the Latvia-Israel Business Forum.
