On 1 April, President Edgars Rinkēvičs together with young people shadowing him during Shadow Day, visited the unmanned aerial vehicle training centre “Drone House”, established by the association “Drone Force Europe”.
The President familiarised himself with the training programmes offered at the “Drone House” indoor training facility in Riga for a wide range of participants, including adults with varying levels of experience, young people, and children.
During the visit, the President met with the Director of the Youth Guard Centre, Colonel Valts Āboliņš, who briefed him on the Youth Guard Centre’s collaboration with the “Drone House” training centre.
“Enhancing theoretical and practical knowledge of the technical structure, operating principles and piloting of unmanned aerial systems contributes to the effective and responsible use of drones for both civilian and military purposes across various sectors,” noted President E. Rinkēvičs.
