President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs visited Kuldīga Technology and Tourism College on 5 November to learn more about College’s learning arrangements and inspect workshops of the new Technology Centre. Meeting between President of Latvia, College administration and students focused on current work priorities of College and ways for better alignment of employers’ demands and professional training outcomes.
“There is, and will always be, strong demand for excellent craftsmanship and hands-on skills. Kuldīga Technology and Tourism College is well-resourced to give future professionals both skills and necessary support in form of modern technologies. Kuldīga itself, with all the heritage buildings, is an obvious reason why restoration experts are needed and will be needed in future, while culinary traditions of Kurzeme will need a young generation to carry them on.
I wish College to always have top-notch teaching staff and businesses that are willing to make sure more young people choose College as their alma mater,” President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs noted after the visit to College.
