On 24 February, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the start-up co-working space “Startup House Riga” in the Spīķeri and met with the leadership and members of the Latvian Startup Association.
During the visit, the President learned about the development of the co-working space and the companies operating there. The visit continued with discussions with the leadership and members of the Latvian Startup Association on current issues within Latvia’s start-up environment.
“Premises specifically designed for start-ups provide the necessary support so that new entrepreneurs can focus on growth and the achievement of their goals. In such a dynamic environment, the exchange of ideas occurs naturally and new partnerships emerge, and, in my view, this is where the greatest value of this community lies. Following my discussion with members of the Latvian Startup Association, I can positively assess the progress made so far in strengthening the start-up environment. At the same time, I am confident that Latvia can further increase its achievements,” said E. Rinkēvičs after the meeting.
