Valsts prezidents tiekas ar Junior Achievement Latvia Līderu programmas jauniešiem

On 8 January, President Edgars Rinkēvičs met with participants of the “Junior Achievement Latvia” Leadership Programme at the Riga Castle – young people who, alongside their academic studies, are acquiring planning, management, communication and other essential skills for effective leadership. The President emphasised to the young people the significance of the projects implemented during the Leadership Program, both in terms of personal development and promoting public engagement in the country’s progress.

“It is truly encouraging to see capable young leaders emerging across Latvia, who are interested in both their own development and the overall advancement of our country. In discussing the projects carried out by these young people in the fields of security, education, culture, health and beyond, it is clear that we have inspiring young individuals who are already achieving remarkable things across various sectors. Their initiatives – from encouraging participation in municipal elections, to developing an electric scooter for people with mobility impairments, to creating an interactive game for children with speech difficulties – demonstrate their concern for others and for the shared environment in which we live. It is essential that the state administration and local governments create a positive environment in which the ideas of these dedicated young people can grow and be transformed into meaningful contributions to society,” said President Edgars Rinkēvičs after the meeting.
