His Excellency President of the Republic of Poland Mr Andrzej Duda and Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda will arrive in Latvia with an official visit on 1-2 February 2022. Presidents of Poland and Latvia will discuss how to provide Ukraine support that it needs, security and energy in Europe, and other priorities.

Welcoming of the President and First Lady of Poland on the Riga Castle square at 11:00 will open the official visit of President of Poland to Latvia. Ceremony will broadcast live on Channel 1 of the Latvian Television. Delegations of Latvia and Poland will then proceed to a bilateral meeting followed by joint press conference with both heads of state at 12:30. Press conference will be preceded by signing of Poland-Latvia cooperation programme in education and culture 2023-2026.

At 13:15, delegations will proceed to flower laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument, then go to the Saeima at 13:25 for a meeting with Speaker of Saeima Edvards Smiltēns. Meeting with Prime Minister of Latvia Krišjānis Kariņš will take place at the Cabinet of Ministers at 15:25.

First ladies of Poland and Latvia, Mrs Andra Levite and Mrs Agata Kornhauser-Duda will visit Vaivari National Rehabilitation Centre.

On the second day of the visit, 2 February, presidents of Latvia and Poland will join experts for a discussion on how Latvia and Poland should cooperate to overcome current challenges. Discussion will start at 11:15.
