During the Museum Night, which takes place between 15:00 and 24:00, the front part of the Riga Castle, which houses the residence of the President of Latvia, will be accessible to the public. Visitors will have the opportunity to explore the history of the Riga Castle, one of Latvia's most outstanding medieval castles, and learn about the work of the institution of the President of Latvia.
During the Museum Night, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the representative and function halls of the Riga Castle. These include the Parade Entrance Hall, the Riga Room, the Dorothea Room, the Armorial Hall, the Green Hall, the Blue Salon, the White Hall, the Ambassadors Accreditation Hall, the Čakste Study, the Festival Hall and the Gifts Room. Additionally, visitors will also be able to view Latvia's highest state awards, learn about the work of the Presidential institution, and participate in educational activities. Guests of the Riga Castle will also have the opportunity to enjoy musical performances.
Useful information:
- entrance to the front section of Riga Castle – the residence of the President of Latvia – will be through the Riga Castle gates from the side of Pils Square;
- a security check will be carried out at the entrance to the Riga Castle;
- please do not bring large bags, food, animals or metal objects;
- due to the usual high level of interest, please be aware that the flow of visitors will be regulated and you may have to wait in line.
