President Edgars Rinkēvičs will visit Brazil to represent Latvia at the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP30 in Belém. During the working visit, the President will also travel to the State of São Paulo, where he is scheduled to meet with the Governor of São Paulo, take part in the Responsible Investment Forum PRI2025, and attend an event jointly organised by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) and Latvia’s Honorary Consul in São Paulo to promote cooperation between Latvian and Brazilian companies and business support organisations.
The President of Latvia will also visit Nova Odessa, a city with the highest proportion of Latvian-speaking diaspora in Brazil. President Rinkēvičs will visit the Latvian Cultural Centre, one of the main meeting places for the Latvian community not only in Brazil but throughout South America. During the visit, the President is also scheduled to meet with leaders of the Latvian community in Brazil and members of the Latvian diaspora residing there.
