President of Latvia Egils Levits marked the 100th anniversary year of the Latvian constitution, Satversme, with the first meeting of the youth debate series ‘#Satversme100: future values’ at the Riga Castle on 15 February 2022. For a whole year, President and young people in various parts of Latvia – Vidzeme, Latgale, Zemgale, Kurzeme and Sēlija – discussed constitutional values. The aim was to engage young people in shaping Latvia’s future by reminding them of national values, encouraging to formulate own views, communicate their views and listen to opinions of others on common priorities. After 12 months, on 15 February 2023, Riga Castle will host the closing conference of the debate series with President Levits and participants from all regions of Latvia
