On 15 July, in Vilnius, the President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs will meet with the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, the Speaker of the Seimas of Lithuania Juozas Olekas, and the Prime Minister of Lithuania Mindaugas Sinkevičius. The President will also visit Vilnius University, participate in the Latvia–Lithuania Business Forum, and attend a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial to those who fell for Lithuania’s independence at Antakalnis Cemetery.
On 16 July, in Klaipėda, the President is scheduled to visit the “Independence” liquefied natural gas terminal and observe a tactical operations demonstration by the Lithuanian Navy. The President will also deliver a lecture at Klaipėda University. Before returning to Latvia, E. Rinkēvičs will visit Būtiņģė Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he will meet representatives of the local congregation and the Latvian community.
