Minister Viņķele briefed President Levits about the process of the adoption of Healthcare Financing Law and envisaged implementation of its provisions, health sector wage reform and new hospital management model. Ilze Viņķele also gave an update on cooperation with the sector and current situation with Covid-19.
President Levits praised the efforts of the ministry to successfully implement the reform and contain the spread of Covid-19. He also promised to keep monitoring further progress of the reform.
