Valsts prezidents izskatījis 18 notiesāto personu apžēlošanas lūgumus
On 28 October, President of Latvia Egils Levits considered clemency appeals of 18 convicted persons. President of Latvia declined 16 clemency appeals and granted pardons to two convicted persons.

One of the pardoned persons was granted partial reprieve – a reduced sentence for offences involving crimes against freedom, honour and dignity of another person. The other pardoned person was granted a full reprieve from additional sentence and serving a sentence for crimes against public order and safety.
