Valsts prezidents Egils Levits Minhenes drošības konferencē uzsvērs tiesiskuma nozīmi digitālā vidē
The President of Latvia Egils Levits will visit Munich on 13 – 16 February, where he will participate at the Munich Security Conference, focusing on Baltic region security, cyberthreats and the role of strategic communication in the modern world.

Egils Levits will take part in a number of discussions about society’s psychological resilience, multilateralism, use of technologies in strengthening of democracy, future of NATO and European Union, and other topics.

During his working visit, the President of Latvia Egils Levits will also meet with President of the Landtag of Bavaria Ilse Aigner, give a speech ‘Democracy in the digital age: threats and opportunities. European and constitutional policy perspectives’ at the Ludwig Maximilian University and meet with the Latvian diaspora in Munich.

The President will hold several bilateral meetings at the Munich Security Conference, including with representatives from Facebook, Google and Microsoft to discuss international regulation issues in the digital world.
