During his official visit, the President of Latvia will meet with President of Italia Sergio Mattarella. During the meeting, they plan to discuss opportunities for further strengthening of bilateral relations between the two countries, cooperation within the European Union (EU) and NATO, as well as to discuss development in the EU Neighbourhood countries.
During his visit, the President of Latvia will take part in the opening of Latvia’s Days in Italy. Latvia’s Days in Italy will continue with a wide program of cultural and economic events in several Italian cities like Rome, Milan, and Venice and will run until the end of this year. Raimonds Vējonis will also participate in the opening of the Latvian-Italian Business Forum, where Latvian information and communication technology companies, as well as Italian entrepreneurs who have already started or are planning to start a business in Latvia, will be widely represented.
To conclude his official visit, President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis will address the audience during the presentation of the exhibition “Latvia and Italy: 100 Years of Friendship” to be held at the National Research Council in Rome.
