At the Song Festival we celebrate our roots and our identity.
Through song we express the core of our nation.
Through song we manifest the soul of our nation.
Song is the cradle of Latvia's statehood.
The anthem of the first Latvian Song Festival later became our national anthem.
During the Song Festival, each successive generation becomes inseparably part of the Latvian nation and the Latvian state.
At the Song Festival we merge together into one nation.
Let us live our ideal Latvia, for which we all strive, on this Song Festival!
