Regional visits Egils Levits

On Wednesday, 19 January, President of Latvia Egils Levits will visit Sigulda Bobsleigh and Luge Centre to learn more about athlete training process and discuss preparations of  Martins and Tomass Dukurs, Kendija Aparjode and Markuss Vinogradovs for the Beijing Winter Olympics, as well as future of the Centre and track. Recently established Skeleton Academy will also be one of the topics of the meeting.

President Levits will also meet with leadership of Sigulda region to discuss various issues pertaining to recent jump in energy prices and relevant support to businesses and individuals, regional reform, implementation of European Union funds and competitiveness on the Baltic level. President’s meeting with Sigulda State Gymnasium staff will focus on current education priorities, digital transformation challenges, school network development and additional education opportunities in addition to basic programmes. President of Latvia will also discuss the current healthcare situation in the region and medical innovation project CyberKnife developed at Sigulda.
