On 25 November, President Edgars Rinkēvičs visited the Latvian National museum of literature and music to learn about its work and new permanent exhibition.
“The new exhibition, created to mark the centenary of the Latvian National museum of literature and music, offers a fresh perspective on the creative journeys of our writers and composers. These paths have rarely been straightforward – more often they have been filled with searching, detours, and all kinds of creative hesitations. Some sought inspiration in long walks, others made pancakes or immersed themselves in conversation. Some let their thoughts unfold over a game of chess or zole, while others – as a special meditative ritual – rewrote Andrejs Upīts’ “The Green Land”. These very human twists and turns of creativity have ultimately produced works that have given us unforgettable emotional experiences.
I would like to thank the staff of the Latvian National museum of literature and music, whose work and storytelling allow every visitor to come closer to the lives and creative journeys of our outstanding writers and composers,” said President Edgars Rinkēvičs following his visit.
