President Levits’ Christmas message to Latvian seniors
Dear seniors,
This year must be one of the most unusual Christmas celebrations ever. The world has stopped. The whole planet is looking back at how we have lived recently, all the mistakes that humanity has made, the achievements and individual acts.
Retirement homes have also been forced to make this year’s celebrations quieter. No visitors, only congratulations from distance. This year Christmas will be quite different for all of us.
But I am very happy that we have nice people who have done their best to give you as much festive feel as possible today. They are sending you their best wishes, prayers for good health and Christmas carols. No matter what happens, we must have a merry Christmas, take care of each other and let our spirit and heart be joyful!
