On 16–17 September, the President of the Republic of Finland Alexander Stubb and First Lady Suzanne Innes-Stubb will be paying a state visit to the Republic of Latvia. In the discussions between President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs and President of Finland Alexander Stubb, the two leaders are expected to address Latvian–Finnish bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of defence, security issues in the Baltic Sea region, as well as Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine and support for Ukraine in its fight against Russian aggression.
